This Parking Study will examine existing publicly-accessible parking (both on-street and off-street) and make recommendations for the future.

Please join us to provide your input on suggested improvements for the West Tampa CRA Parking Study that are the result of a 7-month effort to study current parking conditions and identify potential improvements to enhance the parking experience for CRA visitors, residents and businesses.

Tampa, FL – October 5 and 6, 2022

Join us October 5 and 6, 2022, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm to share your thoughts concerning parking in West Tampa.  West Tampa Community Redevelopment Area (CRA) and City of Tampa have initiated a study provide an examination of current parking conditions and identify potential improvements to enhance the parking experience for CRA visitors, residents, and businesses.

This study, with the help of your feedback, considers traffic and pedestrian counts, existing parking regulations, and recent rezonings and permitting activity within and adjacent to the CRA. The study will include a parking occupancy study on select areas where parking is understood to be the most challenging.

This planning process began in July of 2022 and will conclude this fall.  It includes community input on parking needs in October 2022 and will have additional community input through Social Pinpoint, an online forum.  Community input is essential to accurately reflect the desires of those who live, work and spend time in West Tampa CRA.

In the spirit of seeking Community input, the City of Tampa and CRA along with its consultants on the project from Pond & Company are hosting Public Engagement Activities.  Currently, three opportunities are scheduled for the Public to engage with the planning team and provide input:
