Award season is underway in your neighborhood! The Community Water Wise Awards program is now taking applications from residents and businesses with beautiful, water-efficient landscapes. The program is a collaborative effort between the Tampa Water Department as well as Tampa Bay Water, UF IFAS County Extension Offices, and the Florida Friendly Landscaping program, to promote water-smart landscaping.

For more than 10 years, the Community Water Wise Awards program has recognized individuals and groups who are committed to conserving water and protecting our environment. These award-winners prove that an attractive landscape is possible with less water and minimal maintenance.

Winners will receive a custom mosaic garden stone as well as neighborhood bragging rights.

The deadline to apply is June 30. Landscapes must be established for at least 12 months to win. Each application will be carefully reviewed, and finalists will receive an on-site evaluation by a team of judges.
