Matt Ghanem, CEO of National Breathe Free Sinus & Allergy Centers, said that Dr. Mariah Pate of Tampa Bay Breathe Free Sinus & Allergy Centers was the Rookie of the Year award recipient at this year’s National Breathe Free Sinus & Allergy Centers Clinical Educational Convention.

This was the team’s third annual convention, which took place in Miami on June 21 through 25.

“Since day one, even before day one, Dr. Pate has been relentless in her focus to help all breathe free,” Ghanem told East Hillsborough News. “Her commitment to patient care and belief in patient-centric care is exhibited in not only words, but more importantly, actions.”

National Breathe Free Sinus & Allergy Centers is a health care provider specializing in ear, nose and throat care. The organization has affiliate partners located in multiple states, including Florida, Texas, Virginia, California and Arizona. National Breathe Free Sinus & Allergy Centers values quality care, as well as patient outcomes.

Ghanem and Dr. Manish Khanna, the organization’s Chief Medical Officer, founded the first Breathe Free Sinus & Allergy Center in the summer of 2018, and since then, multiple new Breathe Free clinics have opened across the country. Prior to founding Breathe Free, Ghanem held leadership positions in the hospitality business, as well as the ENT medical device industry. He earned his undergraduate degree in communications and political science from the University of Pittsburgh and then went on to earn his MBA from the George Washington University Graduate School of Business.

According to Tampa Bay Breathe Free’s website, Pate earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida, where she graduated magna cum laude. She earned her medical degree from Quillen College of Medicine at East Tennessee State University, where she graduated in the top 5. They also listed that she has a board certification from the American Board of Otolaryngology. 

Tampa Bay Breathe Free Sinus & Allergy Centers offers many sinus, allergy and general ENT treatments. This includes, but is not limited to, problems such as chronic sinus infections and treatments such as balloon sinuplasty and long term-allergy relief. The hallmark of Pate’s practice is treating patients with respect and compassion.
