No Snow in Sight, So Hit the Sand

The Tampa Bay area is known for its beautiful blue water and pristine beaches that can be enjoyed from sunrise to sunset. At Apollo Beach Nature Preserve, you can bask on a 2 acre stretch of sand. The park is great for hiking, bird watching, and picnics. Bring your four-legged friends along for the ultimate family experience.

Manatees, which frequent Florida waters, are prevalent this time of the year at the Manatee Viewing Center in Apollo Beach. The animals, sometimes called sea cows, forage on aquatic plants and grow to an average length of 10 feet and weight of up to 1,200 pounds.

Wading in a Winter Water-land
