Registration for Polk State Kids at College is open, and this summer is special in more ways than one. Not only will Kids at College return to Polk State’s campuses after two years of virtual activities; but the program will also provide for the first time in its history full-day sessions and Friday class options.

Sessions will run during the following periods for children ages 5 through 12.

  • Session I: June 20 – 24 on the Lakeland Campus
  • Session II: June 27 – July 1 on the Lakeland Campus
  • Session III: July 11 – 15 on the Winter Haven Campus
  • Session IV: July 18 – 22 on the Winter Haven Campus

Classes will be available between 8:15 a.m. and 5:10 p.m. with favorites including rocketry, robotics, puppetry, balloon twisting, and more. Classes are two hours each and range in price from $65 and $75. Students can sign up for one, two, three, or four classes a day, with the full day being comprised of all four classes. Parents should note that students are asked to bring lunches with them as food services are not available on campus.

Early registration, which is discounted 10%, will end on May 15. Registration for employees, which is also discounted at 10%, will end on June 15. Registration closes on the following dates for each session.

  • Session I: June 15
  • Session II: June 22
  • Session III: July 6
  • Session IV: July 13
