In his first post at 19:27 UTC, Buchanan emphasized the importance of infrastructure improvements in Manatee County. An hour later at 20:31 UTC, Buchanan commented on the topic of political violence in America. He stated, “Political violence is not a partisan issue; it is an American issue. Later that evening at 21:27 UTC, Buchanan highlighted recent legislative efforts by House Republicans to improve rural health care nationwide. He posted, “.@HouseGOP’s Working Families Tax Cuts delivered the largest investment in rural health care in history: a $50B Rural Health Transformation Fund. This landmark program will Make Rural America Healthy Again, strengthening hospitals, providers and access to care nationwide.”
Buchanan has served as the representative for Florida’s 16th district since 2007 after succeeding Katherine Harris and previously held office in the Florida House of Representatives. Born in Detroit in 1951 and currently residing in Sarasota, he holds degrees from Cleary University and the University of Detroit Mercy.
