Rep. Vern Buchanan, who represents Florida’s 16th district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of updates on July 18, 2025, highlighting legislative efforts to support seniors, the military, and nutrition reform.

In the words of General MacArthur, “There is no substitute for victory.” “
At 19:19 UTC on July 18, Buchanan reported meeting with Steven Williams, CEO of PepsiCo North America: “Great to meet with Steven Williams, CEO of @PepsiCo North America, to discuss nutrition reform.Â
We discussed how the “One Big, Beautiful Bill” includes key provisions that support hardworking Americans and promote healthier communities.”
