Rep. Vern Buchanan, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Florida’s 16th district since 2007, has shared a series of tweets highlighting recent developments and achievements related to job growth and health care initiatives. On June 6, 2025, Rep. Buchanan tweeted about the positive performance of the U.S. job market, stating “Another month, another win! The U.S. job market crushed expectations by adding 139,000 jobs in May, proving the America First agenda delivers real results.” He credited the @HouseGOP’s “One Big, Beautiful Bill” as a contributing factor to these economic gains.

The following day on June 7, Buchanan recognized Community Health Improvement Week through a tweet celebrating healthcare professionals. He expressed his ongoing support as Chair of the Health Subcommittee on @WaysandMeansGOP: “This week, we celebrated Community Health Improvement Week…I am committed to supporting our health care professionals!”

Later that day, he provided additional insights into economic progress attributed to legislative efforts by House Republicans working with President Biden. In a tweet dated June 7, he mentioned “The ‘One Big, Beautiful Bill’ raises real annual wages by $2,100–$3,300 per worker.” This underscores their collaboration aimed at delivering tangible benefits for American workers.

Rep. Vern Buchanan was born in Detroit in 1951 and resides in Sarasota. He holds degrees from Cleary University and the University of Detroit Mercy.
