Rep. Vern Buchanan, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Florida’s 16th district, has taken to social media to express his support for the “One Big, Beautiful Bill.” Buchanan, who has been a member of Congress since 2007 and previously served in the Florida House of Representatives, is advocating for legislation he believes prioritizes American interests.
On July 3, 2025, Buchanan tweeted about the bill stating that it “puts America and Americans first.” He emphasized his commitment by declaring “We will deliver!” alongside an American flag emoji.
Later that day, Buchanan reflected on past legislative achievements by noting that “In 2017, @POTUS signed the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act into law,” which provided significant tax relief across various sectors. He highlighted efforts by @HouseGOP to make these tax cuts permanent through the new bill.
Additionally, Buchanan addressed current economic indicators in another tweet on July 3rd. He pointed out that while some political figures might be attempting to stall agendas, “the country is hard at work,” citing job growth and wage increases as evidence of progress. He attributed this success to policies like those encapsulated in the “One Big, Beautiful Bill.”
Vern Buchanan was born in Detroit in 1951 and currently resides in Sarasota. His educational background includes degrees from Cleary University and the University of Detroit Mercy.
