Ribbon Cutting at New Teen Area in Largo Central Park set for October

0Comments

On October 4, City officials and representatives from the Largo Youth Leadership Council will cut the ribbon on a new teen area at Largo Central Park. This teen area, funded by the Police and Kids foundation, was a Commission request after parents complained that teens were causing issues at the playground, causing safety concerns.

Commissioners Jamie Robinson and Eric Gerard then worked to find an area for this new Teen space, which will be located east of parking lot 3, near the Historic Feed Store and the playground.

This area was fully designed by teens on our Largo Youth Leadership council, in partnership with Commissioner Robinson and several City of Largo team members in the hopes that it will be a fully functional, usable, and attractive area for teens to hang out that they can take ownership of and enjoy for years to come.
