University of Tampa Athletics issued the following announcement on Oct. 18.
University of Tampa men's soccer standout Omar Thali has received his second Sunshine State Conference Offensive Player of the Week honor of the season, following a victory
over No. 3 Lynn University.
Thali earns Offensive Player of the Week following his game-winner against the Fighting Knights. The Zug, Switzerland native broke the scoreless tie in the 62nd minute with the
game's only score. Thali found the back of the net off an assist from Juancho Fernandez and Sean Quinn on his second of three shots in the game. The weekly award is the
second of his career.
Sunshine State Conference Athletes of the Week are chosen from a pool of nominees for their performances during the week of October 11 - 17, 2021. Athletic Communication
