University of South Florida recently issued the following announcement.

The University of South Florida volleyball team (7-22, 1-17 AAC) wraps up its 2021 campaign on the road this week with stops in Houston on Wednesday and Tulane on Friday.

The Bulls are coming off a 3-1 home loss to Temple after breaking through two weeks ago for their first conference win of the year over Memphis. USF fell by just two points in two of the set losses to Temple – something the Bulls have endured many times this season in a number of close setbacks.

South Florida has lost by just two points in a set 13 times, including five that were extended into extra points.

In their previous matchups at home earlier this season, the Bulls fell to Houston in three sets and Tulane in five sets. USF has fallen in five sets five times during league play.

Marta Cvitkovic continues to lead the young USF offense with 352 kills, and ranks seventh in the AAC in kills/set (3.2). She has posted seven double-doubles this year (digs/kills) and recorded at least 20 kills in a match four times. Cvitkovic also leads the AAC in aces/set (0.43).

Teammate Alexis Williams ranks seventh in that category (0.33) and matched a career high with four service aces on Sunday against Temple – all four coming in one set. Williams, who has taken over the starting libero position late this season, has 269 digs on the year, including a career-best 22 earlier this month vs. SMU.

Veteran CC Clausen enters the final weekend with a team-leading 380 digs and ranks second all-time in program history in that category with 1,602.

A quartet of true freshman round on USF's attacking leaders: Tizi Puljiz (232), Amanda DeWitt (188), Ragan Kinard (152) and Amiree Hendricks-Walker (149). Kinard floored a career-best 17 kills in the win over Memphis while committing zero attacking errors. Puljiz has recorded six double-doubles this season.

Hendricks-Walker is the Bulls' defensive leader at the net with 91 blocks. Puljiz ranks second with 77 and Ally Barnhart is third with 73.

South Florida ranks fourth in the AAC this season in blocks/set (2.05).
