Florida College issued the following announcement on March 3.
The William F. Chatlos Library is under construction as it transforms from a traditional library into an open and vibrant technology and learning hub. A major project highlight
includes the Digital Media Lab with a related control room and media storage. In addition, the improved spaces will serve the students with:
- Mac Lab for students to utilize their skills with editing software
- Digital Media Lab for students in Florida College’s Bachelor of Arts in Communication with a specialization in Mass Media to perfect skills using top-of-the-line equipment
- Five private spaces available for student collaborations, with equipment to aid in presentation performance
- Reading Room for uninterrupted study sessions overlooking areas surrounding the school
- Multi-use classroom available for special presentations
- Starbucks Café
The newly renovated Chatlos Library will debut in fall 2022.
