Upcoming Play Helps Seniors with Scams and Fraud Prevention

On Sunday, August 21 at 2pm, the community is invited to the Central Park Performing Arts Center to learn more about the world of fraud and scams in the play "Phoney Baloney," organized and performed by the Senior Actors Guild & Education Services (SAGES), in partnership with the Largo Police Department Senior Services Division.

During the show, the audience will meet a group of friends from a local senior center who learn to outsmart phone scammers. After the show, patrons can enjoy a question-and-answer session with Largo Police Senior Services Officer, Joel Quattlebaum, and Pinellas Consumer Services. A special prize drawing will also be available, provided by SAGES Theater.

Doors open at 1pm for those with reserved seating, and walk-in seating will begin at 1:45pm. Seats can be reserved at https://PhoneyBaloneyLARGO.eventbrite.com.

For questions about "Phoney Baloney," please contact SAGES Theater at 727-536-7076. For fraud prevention resources and senior services, contact Ofc. Joel Quattlebaum at 727-586-7351 or visit Largo.com/SeniorServices.
