Men's Hoops Faces No. 10 Falcons and Seahawks this Week

 After dropping their last contest to St. Thomas University, Southeastern men's basketball will take on No. 10 ranked Florida College on Thursday at home at 7 p.m. and Keiser University in West Palm Beach, Fla. on Saturday at 4 p.m. as they look to advance their 8-10 overall record and 4-3 Sun Conference record.

Currently sitting at sixth in the conference, the Fire average 76 points per game against SUN teams with a .467 field goal percentage and 33.5 three-point percentage. Riley Minix leads the Sun Conference in scoring with 22.3 points per contest in SUN games and a 54.2 field goal percentage while also leading the team in rebounding with 14.3 rebounds per contest. Sean Shore averages a double-double against conference opponents with 12.1 points per game and 10.9 rebounds per game.

The No. 10 ranked Falcons of Florida College hold a 13-3 overall record with an average of 86.8 points per game, a field goal percentage of 50% and a three-point percentage of 38.7%. Matt Simpson has been the most dangerous on offense with an average of 17.3 points per game and a field goal percentage of 45.5% while Ladarron Cleveland averages 14.2 points per game. Along with the Falcons' offensive success, the defense ranks fourth in the nation in opponent's field goal percentage as competitors are shooting just 38% against them. Simpson also leads defensively with 5.7 rebounds per game while Anthony Bittar averages nearly five assists per game.

The Fire and the Falcons met earlier this season in Temple Terrace, Fla. when the Falcons came away with the 89-77 victory.

The Seahawks of Keiser hold an 11-6 overall record and 4-2 SUN record behind 72.8 points per game and a 45.4% effort from midrange. Core'von Lott and Daquan Williams have been the top offensive producers for the Seahawks with Lott averaging 16.3 points per game shooting 37% from distance and Williams tallying 15.5 points per game behind a 53.3% effort from the field. Justin Tucker sits at second in the SUN in rebounding just behind Minix with 9.1 per game.

The Fire are just 4-13 on the road against the Seahawks including their last contest where the Fire took the 93-88 victory over the Seahawks in West Palm.
