Set over the course of five decades, The Dutch House tells the story of two people trying to overcome their past. Cyril Conroy brings his family out of poverty after WWII when he surprises his wife with the purchase of the Dutch House. Years later, Cyril’s children are exiled from the very house by their stepmother and thrown back into poverty. They are forced to realize that they can only count on each other and this unshakeable bond is all that can save them and their futures.
