Tampa Convention Center Sales and Marketing Manager, Juan Lopez, received a prestigious award for being one of the most dedicated and involved members of the Convention and Meeting Sales Industry. Convention Sales Professionals International (CSPI) presented Juan with the 2022 Shawn Corwin-Myland Award.
“This reflects positively on TCC by enabling our Sales Department and Center to maintain industry trends and provide the highest quality service to our clients and guests,” Juan said.
The award recognizes individuals who are committed to the industry, and who are also involved in the community and humanitarian efforts. CSPI noted Juan’s involvement in managing an evacuation center during Hurricane Ian.
“I am humbled and honored,” Juan said. “I share this award with my TCC and COT family, as it is in part recognition for serving our community during Hurricane Ian.”
Juan was also selected as the 2023 President of CSPI. He has been a board member since he joined the organization in 2019 and served as Vice President in 2022.
“My goal as President of the Board for 2023 is to continue building upon CSPI’s foundation of education and collaboration among Convention Sales Professionals, and to increase outreach towards students and young professionals interested in learning and growing within our industry,” Juan said.
