UT Announces Another Impressive Enrollment Year

The University of Tampa announced its enrollment for the 2022-2023 academic year. This year’s total enrollment— including graduates and undergraduates — is 10,566.

All U.S. states and approximately 130 countries are represented in the mix of students and nearly 30% of enrolled students are from diverse backgrounds, which include domestic and international students. Ninety-eight percent of UT undergraduate students are full-time.

The University continues to see growth, receiving a record-setting 44,364 applications for this fall’s new entering class of 2,378 full-time undergraduate students.

Michael Hendricks, vice president of strategic enrollment planning, said the University has such great momentum, and the two decades of exceptional growth in enrollment, expansion of the campus, and enhanced student selectivity, have positioned UT as one of the nation’s premier private metropolitan universities.

“UT’s state-of-the-art campus facilities, commitment to access and affordability, enhanced student outcomes and graduation success, as well as our reputation for delivering a rich, high-quality educational experience, are reasons why The University of Tampa is the school of choice for so many students,” Hendricks said.

UT President Ronald L. Vaughn added that the University is successfully maintaining its personal attention and community feel, which have been characteristics of UT throughout its history. Also, UT added 50 new faculty positions – a record number – for this fall and last, as well as a similar number of new staff positions.

“UT has remained an attractive destination for students seeking a distinctive, high-quality education, and an education that includes easy access to internships, community service and outstanding recreational opportunities,” Vaughn said.
