U.S. Congressman Vern Buchanan, who represents Florida’s 16th district, posted a series of messages on July 26 and 27, 2025, highlighting American trade policy achievements and commemorating the Korean War armistice.
On July 26, Buchanan wrote: “Three countries. Three historic wins. One America First agenda. @POTUS is reshaping global trade, securing billions in investment and opening markets for American farmers, ranchers, and manufacturers.”
On July 27, Buchanan marked the anniversary of the Korean War armistice with a tribute: “Today marks 71 years since the Korean War armistice. Please join me in honoring the 45,000 Korean War veterans living in Florida and all those who served across the nation. We will never forget their service and sacrifice. “
Vern Buchanan has represented Florida’s 16th congressional district since 2007 after succeeding Katherine Harris. He previously served in the Florida House of Representatives. Born in Detroit in 1951 and currently residing in Sarasota, Buchanan holds degrees from Cleary University and the University of Detroit Mercy.
