St. Petersburg College (SPC) is nominated in not one, not two, but five different categories for Creative Loafing’s Best of the Bay competition this year!

  • Best College or University: St. Petersburg College
  • Best Museum Exhibit: 20th Anniversary Exhibition, Leepa Rattner Museum of Art
  • Best Performing Arts Center: The Palladium Theater at SPC
  • Best Stage Director: Scott Cooper, SPC Theater Director
  • Best Music School (institutional/academic): Music Industry Recording Arts (MIRA) at SPC

The annual contest has been running for more than three decades now, and different SPC locations, programs, and individuals have been nominated several times in previous years. Voting for this year’s competition goes until August 31 at 11:59 p.m. and voters can cast one ballot per email address in nine different categories:

  • Arts
  • Beauty & Wellness
  • Drink
  • Entertainment
  • Food
  • Goods
  • People
  • Places
  • Services

Winners will be announced at Creative Loafing’s annual Best of the Bay Party, which is being held at the Seminole Hard Rock Event Center on Thursday, September 29. The party is open to the public, but you must purchase a ticket in order to attend.
